I too am growing Russian Giant like Nina. Mine are long and leggy though. I am a little worried they may fall over before they fatten up like yours.Shaheenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03602971207085826708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660190282609189517.post-20764470056648084372010-05-05T20:24:59.221+01:002010-05-05T20:24:59.221+01:00Why don't you stash the windowbox containing t...Why don't you stash the windowbox containing the dying daffs in garden of someone living near you and start a fresh one on your windowsill. You could then alternate them. I'm sure you could think of somebody not too far away who is mug enough to stash it away in a corner for you.

DkxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660190282609189517.post-58120039927572959992010-05-04T17:43:42.289+01:002010-05-04T17:43:42.289+01:00Yes I'm growing Irish Eyes sunflowers which sh...Yes I'm growing Irish Eyes sunflowers which should be dwarf and good for pots and tubs so fingers crossed we'll be ok and still able to see out of the windows (http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/plant_pages/10558.shtml)! Looking forward to seeing how the sunflowers in both of your gardens come on this year...Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02311403423357988448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660190282609189517.post-3256890577925328422010-05-04T13:22:47.703+01:002010-05-04T13:22:47.703+01:00As much as I love daffodils, they annoy me once th...As much as I love daffodils, they annoy me once they're past and the dead foliage has to hang around so long to die down. Your sunflowers look lovely and healthy. I'm growing three different varieties this year.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660190282609189517.post-38868642887284854372010-05-03T19:59:48.928+01:002010-05-03T19:59:48.928+01:00Hi Amy, yes it's sad to see all the daffodils ...Hi Amy, yes it's sad to see all the daffodils pretty much over...it's seems such a long wait for them to flower and then they are gone so quickly. I'm afraid I have no advice about your oregano runners, I have never seen this happen with oregano so whilst the post interested me I am sorry to be of no help whatsoever! Your sunflowers looks good, very sturdy...what type are you growing? I'm trying 'Russian Giant'...are you growing a dwarf variety suitable for windowsills and balconies?ninasgardeningnotebookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12196831539070393479noreply@blogger.com
